Caledonia, Minn. (WXOW) Add Ethan Stendel to the long list of Caledonia football players who've signed letters of intent to play at the next level and it's a long list.

Stendel signed to play with the Minnesota Gophers Wednesday.

He's expected to play linebacker for the Gophers.

At 6'3" 215 pounds, Stendel was a star quarterback for the Warriors.

He threw for over 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns passes to go with 10 more on the ground this past season.

Stendel was also named the Three Rivers Conference defensive player of the year as a linebacker.
