These and other friendly pets are available for adoption through Carver-Scott Humane Society:

Double trouble! Meet Douglass, a 1-year-old male husky. Douglass is known in his foster home as Meatball and is a very lovable and gentle dog. He is bonded with his sister Meadow, now known as Sketti (see what we did there?).

Both are picking up on potty-training and simple commands like "stay" and "sit." They are currently housed in a home with children, cats and another dog. Because he is bonded to Meadow, they will need to stay together. If you're looking for a fun group to adopt, love and keep you entertained, what's better than a little Sketti and Meatball?

They are currently in a foster home in Shakopee. Their adoption fee is $375 each plus tax. For more information on this dynamic duo, visit carverscotths.org.

Meet Isabel, a 2-year-old domestic shorthair. This little lady is quite the lap cat on her terms; she is very friendly and outgoing but had a rough winter. Isabel was found as a stray and obviously had been outside with little food for some time. She is healthy with no lasting effects from her adventure, but she does need to continue to gain weight. If you're looking for a chatty companion, she might be one for you.

All Carver Scott Humane Society cats are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and are negative unless listed otherwise. Isabela is currently at the CSHS Adoption and Wellness Center; come visit during our open hours or submit an application and one of our adoption advocates will follow up. Her adoption fee is $125.

All adoptable pets are checked for temperament, up-to-date on shots, vet-checked, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. To start the adoption process or check out the list of animals available for adoption, visit the Carver Scott Humane Society website, carverscotths.org.

This and other pets are available from The Rescue Crew:

Are you looking for a jogging partner? Sadie, an active German shepherd mix, enjoys car rides, leash walks, playing fetch and running around in a fenced yard. She was rescued from a kill-shelter, and the vet thinks she was born October 2017.

Sadie is affectionate, easygoing and friendly with new folks, barking to announce them. Sometimes Sadie jumps up when excited, so kids over 7 might be best. She is crate-trained, knows basic commands and is 95 percent house-trained. When you sit, Sadie likes to hop into your lap. She is not good with cats and likes dogs but is a bit dominant with them.

The Rescue Crew pets have been spayed/neutered, de-wormed and micro-chipped and are up-to-date on core vaccinations. For questions, e-mail [email protected] or call 612-205-0868. To meet a pet, please fill out the adoption application at rescuecrew.org.
