ID Agent analyzed password data they collected on the dark web to find out what the most common password mistakes are.
Nearly 87,000 North Carolina Bojangles customers are affected by a data breach that includes such personal information as name, Social Security number, medical information and IRS pin numbers.
The data breach involving Bojangles' Restaurants Inc. of Charlotte was announced by several law firms based on a corporate filing to the Vermont Attorney General's Office.
The N.C. Attorney General Office's received a similar warning notice that listed 86,852 N.C. residents are scheduled to receive a data breach notice that was sent out Nov. 19. Included in that total are 751 business entities.
Overall about 165,106 individuals were affected nationwide.
The filings do not indicate whether the breach involves employees or customers or whether it involves in-store purchases or the chain's app. The breach was discovered March 12.

Bojangles said in a statement forwarded to the Journal on Tuesday that "our investigation and review were recently completed, and at this time, we believe personal and financial information affiliated with certain current and former employees was viewed and downloaded from the company's systems by an unknown actor.
"There is no indication customer data was impacted."
According to the notices, personal information that could have been subject to unauthorized access includes: name; Social Security number; financial account information; driver's license number; payment card information; taxpayer identification number; IRS pin; and medical information.
The letters sent to impacted individuals alert them "of an event that may affect the confidentiality of your information."
Through its investigation, Bojangles said it confirmed that sensitive personal information in its systems may have been viewed and downloaded by an unauthorized third-party between Feb. 19 and March 12.
"Although we have no indication of identity theft or fraud in relation to this event, we are providing you information about the event, our response, and additional measures you can take to help protect your information should you determine it is appropriate to do so," according to the filings.
Bojangles is providing affected individuals with complimentary credit monitoring services.
