Baubles + Soles: What Happened To The Brand After Shark Tank? - Glam

Yes, Crocs and their Jibbitz accessories are arguably the most popular brand of children's footwear with interchangeable accessories, but there was once another player in the field that made itself known after appearing on "Shark Tank." In 2016, Baubles + Soles was born when founders and couple Duc and Lisa Nguyen aimed to fill a void in kids footwear. They wanted cute shoes that children would want to wear with a variety of outfits (thanks to interchangeable bauble options), that were high quality, and that were made sustainably. By 2018, the Nguyens had their first functioning prototype and launched their brand. Bauble + Soles sold $150,000 in online sales during its first year.

But the Nguyens needed to take their company to the next level, so they applied to be on "Shark Tank," and in 2019, the couple was presented with the opportunity to see if they could get an investment for their burgeoning brand. The couple took to the stage to make their case, also sharing their background, which included Lisa's childhood experience in a refugee camp. The Nguyens' oldest daughter and her friend even made a cameo on stage to model the shoes and, hopefully, win the Sharks over.
