TEEN Mom star Ryan Edwards has blamed his ex-wife Mackenzie for stalling their divorce in court papers, but she is claiming he is the one who is postponing the proceedings.
Ryan, 36, is expecting his first child with fiancee Amanda Conner in February.
In court papers exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Ryan is requesting a judge approve a date for mediation to end his marriage to Mackenzie, 27, who he shares children Jagger, 6, and Stella, 4, with.
Ryan filed a Motion to Continue on November 20 that claims Mackenzie hasn't filed the proper information to help move forward with the divorce.
"[Ryan] propounded to [Mackenzie] certain interrogatories and requests for production on May 15, 2024.
"The court ordered [Ryan] to respond by June 20, 2024. [Ryan] filed a Motion to Compel which is currently pending to be heard on November 25, 2024.
"Due to [Mackenzie's] failure to provide discovery answers, [Ryan] is unable to complete the requested documents in this case."
The filing also notes how the court ordered the parties to return to mediation in the case.
He is requesting Mackenzie file her discovery responses no later than December 2 and that the judge schedule mediation in the case instead of a trial.
But Mackenzie insisted exclusively to The U.S. Sun, "Ryan Edwards has requested that our hearing for divorce be pushed back four separate times.
"He has a child on the way, and is reportedly engaged to Amanda. I wish he would be more willing to close this chapter between us and focus on what lies ahead for himself."
According to their divorce case, a hearing to adopt a temporary parenting plan has been postponed by Ryan at least four times.
Ryan and Mackenzie have been involved in a tumultuous divorce since she filed to end the marriage in February 2023 after accusing him of abuse.
Mackenzie then filed an Order of Protection in March 2023.
The order asked Ryan to have no contact and stay away from her.
She requested she be granted temporary custody of her children and for Ryan to pay child and spousal support.
Mackenzie sought for Ryan to join a counseling and substance abuse program.
Ryan told The U.S. Sun at the time of the abuse claims, "I don't speak for her. I never wanted to hurt her, just tried telling her I would have loved to work on it because I still at the time wanted to."
The Order of Protection was dropped at a July 14, 2023 court hearing to allow Ryan to speak with their children through her.
Then, The U.S. Sun obtained exclusive photos of Ryan and Mackenzie reuniting in August 2023 outside of his rehab facility.
Mackenzie and Ryan's divorce was dismissed in February 2024 because there were no filings for 270 days.
Ryan then filed a new complaint for divorce on March 6, 2024, citing "irreconcilable differences."
In court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Ryan requested split custody of their children.
Ryan requested he be the "designated the primary residential parent" and "that child support be assigned from [Mackenzie's] income."
"Because mother has physical custody of the parties' two children and father is gainfully employed, the Court should order child support to be paid by Father to Mother during the pendency of this case, and at the final hearing said child support obligation be made permanent."
Mackenzie listed her monthly income as $3,000.
Her "good faith estimate of income" for Ryan is $18,440 a month.
She claims Jagger and Stella are with her 365 days of the year, while they're with Ryan "zero days."
The former MTV star is requesting the court set current child support and retroactive child support back to the date of separation.
CUSTODY PLAN
The U.S. Sun previously reported Ryan sees Jagger and Stella "every other Saturday at 12 pm to Sunday at 6 pm at his mom Jen's house."
The source claimed Ryan "made it a huge deal in court that he be allowed to come with Jen to pick kids up" from Mackenzie, but he allegedly "hasn't done it a single time."
Though Amanda has a history of drug-related legal trouble, she recently revealed she has been sober for over a year.
He was released from prison in July 2023 and entered Cadas Rehab in Chattanooga, Tennessee to complete a 28-day program.
After completing the program, he was ordered to the Oasis halfway house, located on the same property as Cadas, during a court hearing in August 2023.
Ryan was then arrested in December 2023 for not following the terms of his probation.
He was released weeks later and has stayed out of trouble.
