Although county officials claim that the Cheshire County Farm's new $290,000 sewage treatment plant is functioning properly, there are some who claim that poorly designed parts of the system will eventually necessitate increased maintenance costs for the county.
Mayor James A. Masiello will ask the Keene City Council tonight for a one-year moratorium on most municipal capital expenditures, including most new school construction, in a concentrated effort to hold down the city tax rate in 1975.

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Six Worcester firefighters perished Saturday at a conflagration that engulfed a five-story warehouse. Two died while searching the burning building for homeless people, and the other four died while searching for their comrades.
