CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire at a south Charlotte apartment complex on Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 11:45 a.m. at The Crossing at Quail Hollow Apartments off Park Road. That complex is adjacent to South Mecklenburg High School.

Charlotte Fire said a second alarm was issued. Medical personnel is at the scene.
