The $5,000 grand prize has been claimed in the North Platte Area Chamber & Development Corp.'s Shop North Platte Holiday Program on the second try, Vice President of Operations and Marketing Cassie Condon said Friday.

The holder of the winning ticket drawn Thursday afternoon came to the chamber offices before Friday afternoon's deadline, she said. The full name was not released.

Holders of other tickets should hang onto them for the chamber's 22 Second Chance Prizes, Condon said. Winners will be announced at 8:15 a.m. Monday on the chamber's website (nparea.com) and its Facebook page.
