One of the Region's most cherished Christmas tradition is the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops concerts.

This year, the symphony performed the annual concert with guest singer James Judd and the Symphony Chorus at the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana and at Valparaiso High School, a show that was sold out weeks in advance.

Anyone who missed the concert in person can catch it on Lakeshore Public Radio on Christmas Day, as a soundtrack to their Christmas festivities. The NPR affiliate at 89.1 FM will air the two-hour Holiday Pops concert at 10 a.m. Dec. 25.

"With the radio broadcast of the Holiday Pops concert, we aim to connect our listeners with one of the rich artistic traditions of our region," said Chuck Roberts, president and CEO of Lakeshore Public Media. "Our partnership with South Shore Arts and the Northwest Indiana Symphony enables us to share the joy of this performance with a broader audience, fostering connection and warmth during the holiday season."

The broadcast is limited to the concert itself and is not a recording of the live, in-person concert with all its banter and interludes.
