Massiah, Lydia Blair Sylvia

Lydia Blair Sylvia Massiah Lydia Blair Sylvia Massiah, 20, of Keene, passed away while surrounded by her family on November 24, 2024. Born in Keene, NH on December 18, 2003, she was the daughter of Kelly Marie (Redfield) Proulx and the late Stacey O'brien Massiah.

Lydia grew up in Keene and attended Keene High School. After school, she found a love for teaching and became a daycare teacher. The children, parents and co workers at Footsteps daycare adored her.

A one of a kind, take no shit type of girl yet a sweetheart- and known to be fierce with a soft side. Lydia was tough and would do anything for someone she loved. She was always about lifting people up and giving them compliments. Lydia loved spending time with her family. From the chaotic family nights laughing with her siblings and nieces and nephews to her favorite holidays Halloween and Christmas. Trips to Boston with her dad and Javon. She was always up for spontaneous events or get togethers, and being silly and dancing. Her mother Kelly will miss the giggling coming from her bedroom that was always filled with her friends, and the rough housing/messing around between her and her younger brother Javon- who call eachother their "twin".

Lydia had one real love in her young life, Emil whom she adored. He will never forget the love and memories they shared.

A love for the ocean from a young age, she would spend hours in the water- family joked she was a "mermaid". She loved baking and the smell of anything sweet, she enjoyed indulging in her favorite dessert her mom made, death by chocolate. She always smelt sweet and of vanilla- so much even her youngest nephews can recognize her perfume that "smells like tatti". She loved music just like her dad who was a longtime dj and she was known to always know the words to almost any song new or old. She loved car rides and sunsets and getting her nails done- always having a French manicure. She was the light in every room and friends and family will forever remember her infectious laugh. Lydia was the glue to her family and each member had such a special bond with her. Her spirt will live on through them and all the special memories they shared and she will forever be deeply missed.

She is survived by her Mother Kelly (Redfield) Proulx; sisters Morgan Phippard, Madison Phippard, Makenzie Campbell, Tinisha Torres; brothers Hayden Proulx, Javon Massiah brother in-law Rushane Campbell; nephews Blake, Brier, Camden, Cooper, Kai, Zion; nieces Booklyn and Sailor; grandparents Norma and Alfred Massiah; Stepmother Joleah Massiah(mama Jo) grandmother Sandra Redfield; and of course her cat Blue who she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her father Stacey Massiah and aunt, Sheena Massiah.
