Two people were found dead late Monday night at a home in south Stockton, according to homicide detectives.
Around 11 p.m., Stockton police officers were called to the 2500 block of Belleview Avenue to investigate a report of two unresponsive people.
When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman who were unresponsive in the home. The woman and the man were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, according to police.
The department's homicide detectives responded and began looking into the incident.
"The motive appears to be domestic related and suspect information is not available for release at this time," said Officer David Scott, a spokesperson for the Stockton Police Department.
The names of the man and woman have not been released by authorities. Their deaths are the latest in a week that saw four other homicides.
On Monday, Dec. 16, 53-year-old BeJay Orth was killed in a shooting near University of the Pacific. Orth was a Lodi resident, according to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office.

On Friday, Dec. 20, 52-year-old Tyree Jones III died after a shooting in the 400 block of East Bianchi Road. Jones was from Oakland, the medical examiner's office said.
The following morning, on Saturday, Dec. 21, a 41-year-old man was found shot to death in the 200 block of Carson Place. His identity has not yet been released by the medical examiner's office.
Early Monday, a man in his late 20s was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the 6700 block of Mount Elbrus Way. The victim, who was not identified, was declared dead at the scene. His death marked the 50th homicide in Stockton, surpassing 2023's total of 45 homicides and 2022's total of 48 homicides.
