Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan should be released from prison, Ric Grenell told Newsmax on Tuesday.

Grenell, who has been chosen by President-elect Donald Trump as presidential envoy for special missions, told "Newsline" that he would "like to see Imran Khan be released from jail."

He added that there are "a lot of the same allegations just like President Trump, where the ruling party put him in prison and created some sort of corruption allegations and false allegations."
