A chicken delivery van driver's decisions came home to roost after being pulled over by police.
Traffic cops said after the van was stopped in Manchester city centre, it was found to be almost nearly three tons overweight.
The driver was handed a fixed penalty notice. Officers took to the GMP Traffic account on X to reveal details of the incident.

The post read: "This chicken delivery van was stopped by #CVU earlier today in the city centre. The driver failed to pay attention to the vehicle weight and thought they could just "wing" it.
Checks showed that they were nearly 3 tons overweight! Vehicle prohibited and GFPNs issued. #AVRO"
