Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone's matchmaking was temporarily disabled on December 20 after an internal development playlist update was accidentally deployed for all users. The unexpected playlist update was live for less than an hour, but it meant that matchmaking in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone was temporarily unavailable.
The surprise outage was the icing on the cake for players, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's ranked mode continues to be infested with cheaters and hackers. While Treyarch has been vocal about rectifying the issue with new improvements to the game's Ricochet anti-cheat system, fans appear to be losing hope for the shooter as continued hit registration issues and bug-ridden holiday events are just some of the many problems that Call of Duty players are facing on a daily basis.

Accidental Call of Duty Update Briefly Suspends Matchmaking
On December 20, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone servers were temporarily unavailable after an unexpected developer playlist update was released to the public. Users who attempted to play either Black Ops 6 or Warzone were met with strange playlist options such as' #TDM - Bots - Phalanx Testing' or '#CER - TDM - Menu Test', which are some of the many internal playlists used by developers when testing new modes. These playlists were unplayable for the general public, which meant there was no way for the community to jump into a match of Call of Duty for a brief period. Thankfully, Treyarch was quick to address the issue and reverted the accidental update in less than an hour.
While yesterday's playlist update was a rather unexpected one, Treyarch did please fans who were locking in for the holiday weekend by bringing back one of Black Ops 6's most popular playlists: Stakeout 24/7. The map is often regarded as the best in the game, mainly due to its small scale and fast-paced gameplay which allows for users to rack up plenty of headshots for the never-ending camo grind.

Black Ops 6 and Warzone players also have a new holiday event to check out, but many fans were left baffled after discovering that a strange bug was allowing them to instantly unlock all of the event's rewards. Archie's Festival Frenzy is scheduled to run until January 3, but Treyarch recently confirmed it would be granting all Black Ops 6 and Warzone players the accompanying rewards at the end of the event, regardless of what progress was made by the player. Although Treyarch didn't reveal why all players would be receiving the rewards, it's speculated to be due to the aforementioned bug that was unlocking all of the rewards for certain players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
