Mrs. Novella Una Sprinkle Cable, aged 96, of Marion, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 22, 2024. She is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband of 67 years, Rev. Clifford Cable.
Novella was born on January 18, 1928, in Madison County to the late Rev. Everette Sprinkle and Myrtle Waldrup Sprinkle. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings.
As a devoted member of Zion Hill Baptist Church for many years, Novella cherished every opportunity to attend services. Her unwavering faith was evident in all aspects of her life. A talented seamstress, she lovingly crafted clothing for her children throughout their school years. Novella aspired to embody the virtues of the Proverbs 31 woman, and her deep love for the Lord shone through in her every action.

Novella was a prayer warrior whose faith and devotion inspired many. As a minister's wife, she steadfastly supported her husband's ministry and work, embodying the role of a loving and dedicated partner. A wonderful mother, Novella devoted herself to raising her six children, instilling in them a strong foundation in the Lord.
Novella's life was a testament to her great faith, love, and commitment to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Surviving Novella are her four daughters, Patricia "Pat" C. Biddix and husband Daniel, Betty C. Miller and husband Larry, Susan Cable, and Katherine Cable Morrow and husband Rick; two sons, Larry D. Cable and wife Kathy and Clifford Lee Cable, Jr. and wife Polly; and son/grandson Scott Cable and wife Crystal all of Marion; two sisters, Juanita Worley and Eva Sprinkle, both of Marion; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. A celebration of her home-going will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the church with Dr. Tom Walker and son-in-law Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the funeral service. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
