Basketball heating up: Vote for the Ponce Law boys athlete of the week in Nashville for Dec. 16-21

Here are this week's candidates.

Jacob Amonett, Pickett County: Amonett dropped 31 points in a 78-63 win over Knoxville Halls last Saturday and added 28 points to lead Picket County in a 80-68 loss to Kingston last Friday.

Ryan Benderman, Mt. Pleasant: Benderman had 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and seven steals in the Tigers' win last Monday. He finished with 13 points, six rebounds, seven assists and eight steals in a 74-47 win over Forrest last Friday, and added 20 points, two assists and seven steals in a 58-49 win over East Hickman on Saturday.

Gabe Davenport, Zion Christian Academy: Gabe had 41 points 3 assists and 5 steals in an 87-51 win over Dickson Christian Academy last Friday.

Tylan Lewis, Independence: Lewis led Independence with 22 points to help Indy beat Brentwood Academy, 61-56 last Friday. Lewis added 17 points in the Eagles' 62-45 win over Ravenwood last Tuesday.

Jackson McCutcheon, Brentwood: McCutcheon led the Bruins with 35 points in a 92-45 win over Summit last Tuesday.

Hunter Moss, Page: Moss scored 24 points to lead the Patriots last Tuesday. He finished with 18 points in an 80-57 win over Knoxville Central last Saturday.

Auden Slaughter, Santa Fe: Slaughter led the Wildcats with 31 points in a 77-24 win over Battle Creek last Tuesday.
