PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Part of Interstate 395 North in Plainfield is closed because an overturned tanker carrying harmless liquid nitrogen is venting a vapor cloud visible to passing drivers, fire officials said.
Fire officials are asking drivers not to report it to the police. State and private hazardous materials specialists are on the scene.
Fire officials said at some point, both North and South lanes of I-395 will be closed between Exit 24 in Griswold and Exit 28 in Plainfield.
