Just a few days ago, Houston Texans fans watched in horror as wide receiver Tank Dell was loaded onto a cart, placed inside the back of an ambulance and rushed off to the hospital.

In the hours following his devastating injury, the only details to emerge suggested he suffered a dislocated kneecap. He was eventually allowed to leave the hospital about 24 hours after he enters, returning home to Houston on Sunday afternoon.

Head coach DeMeco Ryan revealed Dell suffered a dislocated knee and torn ACL, while hinting at further damage.

"It's unfortunately a significant knee injury," Ryans said as he updated Dell's status Monday during a news conference at NRG Stadium. "He dislocated his knee, he tore his ACL, and some other things there he will have to get repaired. So, he'll be out for the year. Tough news."

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, in addition to suffering a torn ACL and dislocated knee, he also suffered torn medial collateral and lateral collateral ligaments and sustained damage to his meniscus.

Earlier this week he posted on social media for the first time.

In a video posted to TikTok, Dell shared a highlight video that included comments from an interview between ESPN's Stephen A. Smith and the late Kobe Bryant.

"God is great," Bryant can be heard saying in the video.

Smith asked, "Is it that simple?"

Bryant repeats, "God is great... don't get no simpler than that bro...You can know it all you want, but until you got to pick up that cross that you can't carry...He picks it up for you and carries you and the cross, then you know!"

Dell will be out for the majority of, if not all, of next season following the devastating injury.
