BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) - The spirit of Christmas lives year-round at the North Pole and in Boardman.

The Christmas Cafe is everything Christmas. If you enjoy December 25, it could be the perfect place for you to work.

There's always something in the air at The Christmas Cafe. You can see it, and feel the warmth.

"I tell my staff all the time, we're not in the waffle or milkshake business. We're in the feeling business," said April Mason, owner of the Christmas Cafe.

The Christmas Cafe opened in January and is celebrating its first Christmas, averaging roughly 200 people a day. It's hiring morning and afternoon cooks to prepare the special menu items, like the Christmas Tree chicken and waffles. Plus baristas who can create the perfect combination for its specialty drinks and add the right amount of flair.

"We're looking for people in the hospitality industry that's number one, understands customers and understand people, someone with open availability, someone that actually is ambitious and actually wants to grow with us," Mason said.

A party host is needed, too, for Santa's workshop. The event center hosts parties and is looking for a likable person who can pass along the Christmas spirit whether Santa or the Grinch is there.

The Christmas Cafe was the idea of April Mason. It quickly became a destination spot and will celebrate its first anniversary in January.

The decorations. The sights. It's all here. The Christmas Cafe needs workers who want to make every day merry.

"Not only is this the most special time of the year, but have that feeling every single day, like every time they come to work, it's Christmas. Like our slogan says, 'Every day is merry at the Christmas cafe.' So someone that enjoys Christmas," Mason said

It's a job for more than just the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's a chance to be in the spirit year-round.

Yes, you will listen to Christmas music all day, every day. You will know all of the songs. But it's also a chance to experience the magic every day of the year.

That's what the environment is. So we're looking for people that really enjoy the festivities of Christmas and enjoy people," Mason said. "
