Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a takeaway in Tyldesley.
The fire broke out at Bella Pizza in Castle Street at about 6.20pm today (Wednesday, December 25). Three fire engines were called to the scene, close to the junction with Shuttle Street.
Pictures shared on social media showed plumes of smoke billowing from the takeaway as firefighters attempted to put out the flames. It is not known whether anyone was injured in the blaze.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At around 6.20pm (Wednesday 25 December), fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a commercial building on Castle Street in Tyldesley.
"Three fire engines from Atherton, Farnworth and Leigh quickly attended the scene.
"Firefighters are using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Crews remain in attendance."
