WARREN COUNTY, Ky. - Christmas time is the season of giving, and this year, Toys for Tots made a huge impact in south-central Kentucky.
Toys for Tots and their many volunteers have been busy taking calls, collecting toys, bagging them up and delivering them to parents to make sure the kids of our community are getting the Christmas that they deserve. Thousands of kids across south-central Kentucky will receive presents this year due to the hard work of the volunteers and they many thousands of dollars raised.
"It was a very busy but wonderful and magical year. We were able to serve thousands of children. Our numbers are still coming in, but right now, it's looking around 23 to 25,000 children in our 23 counties," said Janel Doyle, a Toys for Tots coordinator.
Toys for Tots is a year-round organization, however, so the work never stops, especially for their nursing program. The nursing program brings joy to different nursing homes across south-central Kentucky. To see how you can help throughout the year, click here.
