On the final weekend before Christmas, which is just days away, it was time for some last-minute shopping.

Consumers were out in full force Saturday morning and early afternoon, putting the final touches on their gift lists for the holiday season.

With temperatures in the 30s -- and a few snow flurries mixed in -- shoppers quickly moved from their cars to the stores at Consumer Square in Mays Landing. The area by Target was busy with cars and foot traffic.

In Ocean City, a fair number of folks traversed Asbury Avenue. Some even took a break to ride in a horse-drawn carriage down the avenue.

It's not all hustle-and-bustle. Sometimes, those last-minute gifts can be born out of creativity while on the fly.
