CS Energy marks 2-GW solar project milestone

Edison-based CS Energy announced Dec. 23 that it had reached a 2-gigawatt milestone in operational solar projects.

The company develops, designs and builds optimized solar, energy storage and emerging energy projects. One of its latest undertakings is a solar project on an EPA Superfund site in Mount Olive.

Founded in 2004, CS Energy has designed and installed 263 projects in 19 states, with a primary Northeast region footprint, including in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts. It has also completed projects totaling more than 650 megawatt-hours in operating energy storage.

According to the Wood Mackenzie U.S. PV Leaderboard, CS Energy finished 2023 as the No. 1 commercial solar installer in the U.S. - with a 5.3% market share.

"We are proud to celebrate this remarkable milestone in our company's history," said Matthew Skidmore, CS Energy CEO. "This achievement is a reflection of our entire team's hard work and dedication to building a sustainable future powered by clean, renewable energy."

CS Energy said it offers a streamlined approach to solar project development, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The company attributes its growth to referrals and positive word of mouth.

"We are grateful to the many clients who have placed their trust in us over the years and continue to be long-term partners," said Skidmore. "We remain committed to delivering quality and creating value for all stakeholders as we work toward our next GW in solar development."
