DINUBA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - There will be live virtual events, multiple blogs and expert videos available online for Dinuba Unified following a partnership with SmartSocial, the company announced Thursday.
SmartSocial's website says they focus on helping adults become the most informed parents to keep their students safe online.
There will be three live virtual events, blogs, and expert videos available online for the exclusive use of partner school districts. SmartSocial officials say Dinuba Unified is giving step-by-step advice on how kids can make a positive impression online in 2025.
SmartSocial officials say this is made possible through a partnership with the Dinuba Unified School District.
"As part of its yearlong commitment to promoting smart and safe digital habits," SmartSocial Spokeperson Rosalind Fournier said. "DUSD and SmartSocial will present events on a wide variety of topics throughout the year, from cyberbullying prevention and the positive use of emerging tools like AI."
The DUSD is comprised of 11 schools across nine campuses and serves over 6,600 students, ranging from transitional kindergarten through adult education.
Officials say by helping students avoid common pitfalls and encouraging them to think before they post, parents and educators can help students use social media to their benefit.
