Dan Campbell had a rather passionate message for his team after the Detroit Lions made franchise history in Week 16.

The Lions beat the Chicago Bears, 34-17, on Sunday for their 13th win of the 2024 season. In doing so, Detroit set a new record for the most wins in a season in franchise history.

Speaking to his team in the locker room following the historic milestone, Campbell shared how proud he is of his team and what they have accomplished. He pointed out that it's certainly a moment that they will always look back on in the future.

However, the Lions' head coach emphasized that the job is not done. There's no need for them to stop at 13 wins when they have two games left in the season and can do so much more.

"Great job. Great job," Campbell started. "Here's what's crazy: At some point, we're gonna look back and say, 'Man, we just got 13 wins. Franchise record. Detroit Lions, never done this before in the history of this franchise.' We're gonna be able to look back and say that.

"But not yet. Not yet. Because you know what we gotta do next week? We gotta win man. We gotta win."

Dan Campbell certainly couldn't have said it any better. The Lions are now 13-2 on the season following their victory over the Bears, but they have a chance to improve that win-loss tally and add more to their winning record.

They face the struggling San Francisco 49ers next in Week 17 before ending the season against a dangerous Minnesota Vikings squad.

Sure enough, it will be interesting to see if the Lions can make it to 14 or 15 wins.
