CBP Offers Info on FY 2025 Microsoft Product License Renewal Requirement

The Customs and Border Protection plans to award a contract by the second quarter of fiscal year 2025 to meet its fiscal year 2025 requirement to provide CBP personnel continued access to Microsoft applications through the Department of Homeland Security's Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement, or ELA, blanket purchase agreement.

According to a notice published Thursday on the Acquisition Planning Forecast System, a solicitation for the requirement, which could be worth over $100 million, is anticipated to be released by Feb. 18.

Work will be performed in Ashburn, Virginia, with an expected completion date of March 26, 2029.

CBP seeks to renew Microsoft product licenses and maintenance support through the Microsoft ELA BPA.

According to APFS, CBP employees use Microsoft applications, which require ongoing updates and annual renewals to enable information integration and continued enhancements for the agency's systems.

The agency will use the General Services Administration Schedule as the contract vehicle for the proposed requirement, which includes all renewal-based services needed to keep Microsoft applications operational throughout CBP.

CBP will be using the fifth iteration of the Microsoft ELA BPA from DHS for this annual renewal.
