The Ohio State Buckeyes made a statement in the first round of the College Football Playoff, defeating the Tennessee Volunteers 42-17.
Ahead of the Big Ten versus SEC matchup, Tennessee's official social media account posted a short message that read, "nothing left to be said," with a graphic that said, "Just put the ball down."
Following the dominant victory, Ohio State's official social media account responded to the Volunteers.
Some fans seemed to love the reaction by Ohio State's admin.
After the first-round victory over the Tennessee Volunteers, the Buckeyes will go head-to-head against the No. 1 Oregon Ducks.
They're set to face the undefeated (13-0) Ducks on Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. ET. Despite Oregon previously defeating the Buckeyes in Week 7, Ohio State heads into the game as a 1-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
