NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) - Fire crews battled a structure fire at Shuttle Meadow Ave on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Berlin Fire Chief, officials arrived on scene and found the home owners safely waiting outside.

The chief said the fire was fully involved. The house was set back from the road, so accessing the fire was difficult.

Crews used tanker shuttles to supply water and get the fire under control.

The area around the New Britain water department remains active as overhaul is underway. Officials are encouraging people to use a different route.
