ATLANTA -- A possible suspect has been detained after an Atlanta Police officer was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Buckhead on Friday, the department said.

Atlanta Police said that one of its officers was involved in a crash at 3325 Piedmont Road NE, which is just north of the intersection of Piedmont and Peachtree Road, near the Grant Hyatt hotel and The Flying Biscuit Cafe.

APD said that there were no critical injuries reported in the wreck. Georgia State Patrol is leading the investigation and will release more details about the incident when they become available.
