The monthly screenings kick off on Jan. 11 with Terry Gilliam's extraordinary adventure/fantasy/comedy The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. Gilliam, a longtime member of the Monty Python troupe, has been recognized by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) for his contributions to film that include Monty Python's Life of Brian, The Fisher King (with Robin Williams) and Time Bandits.

Screenings are at 6:30 p.m. in the Queensborough Community Centre, the lovingly restored former one-room schoolhouse in the heart of the charming central Hastings County village of Queensborough.

Queensborough Movie Nights are a project of the volunteers on the Queensborough Community Centre Committee. The project's stated goal: "Build Community Through Classic Movies." Screenings are free of charge, all ages are welcome, and hot buttered popcorn and cold drinks are available to enjoy while watching the film.
