Murfreesboro City Schools announced Dr. Ashley Mushamba, a 6th-grade teacher at Mitchell-Neilson Elementary, and Hannah Bowe, a Comprehensive Development teacher at Black Fox Elementary, as the district's Teachers of the Year.
Additionally, Helen Belcher, a Comprehensive Development teacher at Cason Lane Academy, has been named the 2024 District Novice Teacher of the Year.
These exceptional educators were chosen for their commitment to teaching excellence and their dedication to creating engaging and impactful learning experiences for students, according to a district media release.
"The passion, dedication, and innovation that these teachers bring to their classrooms each day exemplify the very best of our profession," said Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Schools. "Their commitment to student success is truly remarkable. We are incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements and the positive impact they have on our schools and community."
