Tamara Newcomb, 48

Tamara J. Newcomb, 48, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.

Clergy officiating was Pastor Scott Grorud. Organist was Bonnie Westmiller. Soloist was Lucy Newcomb, who performed "Fly Like A Bird," "Come Unto Me," "Dancing With Angels" and "On Eagle's Wings." Honorary bearers were brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Casket bearers were Matthew Schmieg, Addison Juhl, Hunter Davis, Luke Klitzke, Josh Telecky and JR Riehle.

Tamara Jean "Tami" Newcomb was born Nov. 3, 1965, in Olivia. She was the daughter of Lloyd and Roselyn (Peterson) Beasley. Tami was baptized as an infant, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cosmos. She received her education in Cosmos, and was a graduate of the Cosmos High School Class of 1984.

On June 18, 1988, Tami was united in marriage to Michael Newcomb at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with two children, Nicole and Breanna. Tami and Michael resided in Hutchinson. They shared 26 years of marriage.

Tami held employment at Hutchinson Technologies Inc. in Hutchinson for 24 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

Tami enjoyed going for long walks and spending time with her pets. She loved family gatherings, playing board games and spending time at the cabin. Tami also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and going to softball games. She especially cherished the time she spent with her husband and children.

Tami passed away surrounded by her family Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis, at the age of 48 years. Tami was a registered organ donor. Her final gift was to donate her eyes so that someone else could have the gift of sight.

She will be dearly missed.

Tami is survived by her husband, Michael Newcomb of Hutchinson; children, Nicole Schmieg and her husband, Matthew of Hutchinson, and Breanna Newcomb and her fiance, Addison Juhl of Hutchinson; siblings, Terri Lynaugh and her husband, Matt of Hutchinson, Dee Mora and her special friend, Bruce Dolezal of Hutchinson, Mike Beasley and his wife, Dennine of Hutchinson, Missy Davis and her husband, Steve of Hutchinson; nieces nephews, many other relatives and friends; cats, Simba and Lola.

Tami was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Roselyn Beasley; father-in-law, Greg Newcomb; grandmother-in-law, Cile Dufresne; beloved dog, Sam.
