Position Title, PP-Series-Grade: Program Manager (Deputy Product Lead Acquisition) - NH-0340-04

Location: U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center, Office of the Program Executive Office, Aviation (PEO AVN), Aviation- Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Project Office, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

NOTE: Due to the level of duties to be performed, only employees currently at the NH-04 (GS-14/15) equivalent will be considered.

Funding: Permanent Change of Station/Relocation are not authorized.

Number of Vacancies: 1- Program Manager (Deputy Product Lead Acquisition) (NH-0340-04)

This position will serve as supervisor for Deputy Product Lead, Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA)

MAJOR DUTIES:

* Leads and coordinates the combined efforts of the Army industrial team in expediting assigned program responsibilities.

* Directs other Department of Defense (DoD) activities supporting the systems to assure proper balance consistent with requirements and available resources.

* Serves as advisor to officials with broader and higher responsibilities on status of project, progress made, projected future plans, and problems.

* Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling completion, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities

* Oversees all aspects of acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million-dollar annual budget.

Specialized Experience Required for this Position: is defined as one year of experience performing duties which include: 1) coordinating or leading a high visibility defense program; 2) working in various areas of the defense acquisition process such as development, test and evaluation, contracting, production, and financial management; 3) analyzing program schedules to develop comprehensive budget criteria to meet mission requirements; 4) collaborating with external stakeholders or representatives on matters affecting program execution; and, 5) overseeing or leading personnel engaged in performing acquisition work.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

* Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

* This position requires submission of the Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

* This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

* This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such an agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment.

* This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification (Advance) within 48 months of entrance on duty.
