NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- The final ceremonial beams of a new neuroscience building at Yale were hoisted on Wednesday at the St. Raphael campus.

The $838 million project will expand their reach by 500,000 square feet. When completed, it will have two patient towers with 184 beds.

"With this building, not only will you be expanding the amount of love and care you give to our community.. but you will be researching and developing cutting-edge research to help so many more people," New Haven Mayor Justin Elicker said.

This is the largest project of its kind in state history.
