You may know that Rotary of Tehachapi engaged countless community members to donate to the 12 Days of Christmas food distribution for senior citizens and their families.

What you may not know is that Key Budge, community engagement director for the city of Tehachapi, pulled together a small army of volunteers to help distribute food and supplies on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Budge said 110 boxes were distributed that day to seniors throughout the greater Tehachapi area, with police officers and others pitching in to help.

Participating agencies included the city and Bear Valley, Golden Hills and Stallion Springs community services districts.
