Western Colorado's Ricky Freymond was named to the first-team defense of the 2024 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Team on Friday.

The defensive end adds the Don Hansen All-American honor to those he received Wednesday, when he was named a first-team All-American on the Associated Press, D2CCA and AFCA teams.

After a year in which he led the nation in tackles for loss (24.5) and was second in sacks (12.0), Freymond garnered Defensive Player of the Year awards from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the D2CCA All-American team and its All-Super Region 4 team.

His 12 sacks this season elevated Freymond to the top of the program record book for career sacks.
